Please be aware that from August 2026, we will no longer be running a food bank.
All of our other services will remain unchanged.
After extensive consultation with the young people we support, we recognse that this is no longer a service they want to access.
Consistently, young people told us that they wanted these four things:
- Help us earlier
- Help us keep our homes
- Help us with everything that sits around housing
- Keep treating us like people, not cases
While the causes of youth homelessness remain the same, including family breakdown, domestic abuse and poor mental health, we recognise that the way young people want to access support has changed significantly.
We recognise that food poverty remains a real issue within our community for older people and families. Thankfully, Bromsgrove is fortunate to have two excellent organisations who are continuing to provide food support, and we will actively signpost any young person who needs emergency food assistance to these services.
